People are often sceptical about (or just misunderstand) Herbalife (which I can understand, as I was initially too). I, however, am someone who only makes an opinion on something based on personal experience … on hard, personal facts, not on hearsay.
At the age of 38 I was struggling to lose half a stone and to stop my waistline expanding even more. I had always led a healthy lifestyle – lots of exercise, healthy home-made, organic meals – and was proud of this. But with age the weight was creeping on. If I cut my food intake to try and lose it, I lost energy and struggled. If I tried doing more exercise I needed to eat more to keep going (it was a vicious circle). I shared an office at the time with Stirling’s Health Promotion Officer, who had a background in health and nursing. He introduced me to Herbalife which I decided to take for just one month to lose the weight. My plan was then to revert to my healthy lifestyle. What I hadn’t expected was that the IBS I’d had for 17 years (which crippled me every day) cleared up within a week and my energy levels went sky high. This was within a week! A few months later my skin had improved (including my eczema) and my immune system was infinitely better. On top of all that I’d lost the half a stone in 3 weeks. I tried to deny that these products were better nutritionally than my healthy, home-cooked meals …. but the results spoke for themselves. I couldn’t deny it! I felt fantastic and looked better than I had for years!
So initially it was the health benefits and the fact that the products really fill you up and energise you that I loved the most. Not to mention the convenience and the fact that I was saving money.
It frustrates me that people think I am “naturally slim”. I’m not, I just know what to do to get slim and stay slim. And I love helping others do the same.
Herbalife is good nutrition for anyone! Sports-people use it (David Beckham and his team, Olympic athletes etc etc). If it’s good enough for them ….. It’s good enough for me ...
It’s food! Perfect fuel for the body! That’s it. Nothing magical. Just perfect fuel. Having been a fan of home-made, natural, organic food/meals, I know what it’s like to struggle with this idea. But it doesn’t go against this natural way of living – it complements it. I have Herbalife, our lovely home-made healthy meals, and still enjoy eating out, red wine, freshly ground coffee etc etc. (we’re not health-food anoraks!)
But Herbalife did more than change my health, it transformed my working life. Because I was looking and feeling great, people were asking what I was doing. So I recommended a few people, they got good results …. and I ended up being a distributor (by accident). I love it when people thank me for introducing them to the products and when I see them lose weight and transform their health. It’s so easy to follow a Herbalife programme and you feel the benefits within a week!
What amazes me more about Herbalife, however, is the business opportunity. Again, people were sceptical when I started (including David). People were warning me that it wouldn’t work. In fact I had
more words for warning than I did support. Well, here I am 2 years later – working from
home, helping people feel and look great, and having been able to leave a job I absolutely
hated!!! I’m glad I didn’t listen to the (well intentioned, but misinformed) sceptics. Once
again I made a decision based on what I knew and experienced (great company,
great products, great ethics, great mission to help people change their lives!)
